The core ideas of the MSCOP projects are cross-campus collaboration and make a tool which is campus as lab. Koç University’s academic and research abilities will be combined with Siemens’ skills and experiences which are the framework of campus operations. Campus as Lab is of great importance to gain perspective on real-world issues and make significant sustainable growth both locally at campuses, and globally. MSCOP accepts projects from five areas:
In this cross-campus collaboration, Koç University’s academic and research abilities will be combined with Siemens’ skills and experiences which are the framework of campus operations. Koç University Rumelifeneri Campus and Siemens’ Gebze and Kartal manufacturing campuses are considered as research lab for sustainable modeling. The campuses have challenging problems to their increasing operational burdens which are energy, transportation, building, food and campus occupant activities. How to solve these challenging problems? The program will focus on how to create a new sustainable model for campus operations.
